Project carried out directly with the homeowner, enabling direct collaboration which allowed us to contribute different ideas and options from the outset to respond to the different needs that a construction presents in terms of loads, behaviour as regards fire and steam, sustainability and respect for the environment.
The main challenge consisted in optimizing to the maximum the performance and possibilities of all the materials that were going to be used in the construction to guarantee the sustainability of the project in environmental terms. For this reason, it was necessary to carefully analyse the characteristics of each product and its versatility. In this case, the use of the Lignumstrand E 10.7 turned out to be the perfect element because it responded to the different requirements of the building. Furthermore, by opting for a floor assembled with box girders made up in its entirety of Lignumstand E 10.7, it was possible to take advantage of the hollow of the piece to include the thermal insulation.
Using box girders made with Lignumstrand E 10.7 for the floor turned out to be an easy, versatile option, which proved to be simple in its execution as well as fast and efficient to assemble. If we add to this its role in structural and insulation terms, we obtained the perfect solution that fits perfectly with the construction objectives.
Lignumstrand is an extraordinarily stable, resistant and versatile element which can be used directly as composite girders, whether as double T, box, lattice or others. It can also be used as posts, lintels. Uprights, purlins, braces, boards and other structural construction elements.
The composition is free of formaldehyde and other possible VOC-emitting compounds.
LIGNUMSTRAND has a CE marking under ETA 19/0456 OF 08/26/2019 according to EAD 130308-00-0304 for the Lignumstrand product, which belongs to the Structural Composite Lumber family: Laminated Strand Lumber (LSL)
